Introduction

The report is prepared to give a brief about “Los Angeles Book Festival” that was help on 23rd to 24th April in USC Campus (University of Southern California). This is known as “The Greatest Literary Show on Earth”. The glimpses of the same and the events are mentioned in the report in later sections of it. 

Los Angeles Book Festival

Over the past decade, this has been transformed into a global literary phenomenon that has hosted 2000 speakers from across the globe. The core values have remained unchanged to serve the democratic platform in offering access to all. The festival also brings together a diverse mix of the greatest writers, humanitarians, thinkers, business leaders, and entertainers, at one stage in order to impress the dialogue and debate.

The upheaval and unsettling times have successfully launched the series which has been viewed by over 4.8 million people in the first season. This has also been celebrated for the first time offline and online with an impressive line of speakers that are famous authors and that present them on the ground and digitally. The event was held considering all the protocols of Covid-19. There are several exhibitors that are involved in exhibiting with author signings, selling merchandise, and free activities (Los Angeles Book Festival, 2022). 

There are two events that took place in the festivals at two dates-

23rd April

The morning music show would begin at 9:00 AM. It is an award-winning music show that is performed by Sushma Soma Karnatik vocalist. This is recognized as one of the passionate youths in driving positive change with actions and as one of the 10 women leaders in music in Singapore. Sushma has also been awarded Young Artist Award the highest honor for young arts practitioners in Singapore. It has also performed on some of the world-renowned stages that include Kalaa Utsavam in Singapore. 

The next sessions are performed by Katherine Rundell in conversation with Nandini Das. It is the religious outsider and social disaster that was incapable of just one thing. He got converted from Catholicism to protectionism. These are expressed in verse and many breathtaking imperfections of love and joy (Sapiro et al., 2022). 

There are sessions of various famous writers that include Durjoy Dutta. He will throw light on immortalizing romance and love that have troubled times from the initial rush of meeting someone new to the slow burn that would come with time. He will also discuss the latest book that he has launched, “When I am With you”. 

24th April

The mornings again begin with music by Aditya Prakash. He is award winning vocalist. At only 16 years of age, he became one of the youngest musicians to tour and perform with sitar maestro Ravi Shankar, accompanying him to such prestigious stages as Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, and Disney Concert Hall. 

The next session is of Shashi Tharoor in conversation with Tripurdaman Singh. This will explain how democracy is sustained and nurtured. Democracy is based on the free press, civil liberties, electoral competition, free market, and individual rights. It is also the base of facing profound challenges that have deep roots and force us to consider the question about new. The complexities are also nurturing democratic practices in climate change and unrest (Los Angeles Book Festival, 2022). 

Also, the next session is with Nandini Das in conversation with William Dalrymple in conversation with advancing efficiency. He will also throw light on the court that he entered India and was cultured and wealthy. The country is also making the country imperial seeds seen as sown (Choi et al., 2019). 

The next session is Dhanak being addressed by Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar. This will be done in conversation with Rakshananda Jadil. Dhanak is a collection of poems that the poet and lyricist Nisar Akhtar. The book discusses the meaning of the rainbow and circle being evocative, captivating, and colorful. 

The next session is performed by Shehan with NANDINI Nair. This is related to the stash of photographs that would change the Sri Lankan fate. The session is the book winner that determines the brutality of war with the tale of humor, pathos, and satire. 

In this way, the sessions are led by famous authors. People that are fond of reading would come and enjoy the speech of their favorite writers. This will also publish their new upcoming and a network the joins readers and writers (Kaplan et al., 2020).

With sessions, the decoration of the ground is also fascinating based on different themes that attract the attention of visitors. This will lead to creating efficiency and harmonizing the levels in order to sustain the goals and long-term stability. This is considered to be important in aligning the needs and wants of the event. There are various eateries being placed there that would be open for visitors so that they could enjoy local cuisine and high tea with this. This is considered to be important for the event that grabs the interest. It also boosts tourism in the place. 

Among these, there are several other authors that were present at the place that includes Zooey Deschanel, Don Lemon, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, James Patterson, Chang-Rae Lee, Lulu Miller, and Meena Harris, niece of Vice President Kamala Harris. The partnership between USC and L.A. Times would be presented the night before the festival begins.
